What this is

Grove Fiber Lookup is a free connector that lets AI assistants look up dietary fiber in foods. It is run by James McKinney, the maker of the Grove app. By using it, directly or through an AI assistant, you agree to these terms.

Free to use

The connector costs nothing and needs no account. There is nothing to buy through it.

Not medical advice

The connector gives food composition facts. It does not diagnose, treat or advise on any health condition. Talk to a doctor or dietitian before you change your diet for a medical reason.

Where the numbers come from

Fiber values come from USDA FoodData Central (SR Legacy), a public domain data set. They are lab averages. Real foods vary, and packaged products can differ from their labels. We work to keep the data correct but do not promise it is free of errors.

Fair use

Please do not overload the service, try to break it, or use it to build a copy of the data for resale. We may limit or block traffic that does. The USDA data itself is free to download from the USDA.

No warranty

The connector is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. It may change, pause or stop at any time. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from using it or relying on its answers.
